“My parents listen and play jazz. Since I was very young, the records of Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Stan Getz etc have played in vinyl at home. We often went to jazz festivals. When I was seven I watched Betty Carter for example. At high school, when I started the conservatory, I learned that jazz wasn’t just a music for old people. It was also a music for young people and I started to like more modern jazz.”
